Amazing place for wine and a bite to eat. Vegan/vegetarian options. Dog friendly!!! The staff is sooo amazing and friendly. A must stop if you are in Jim Thorpe....and don't leave without a slushy!!!!
We were served our order outside on their delightful back patio, complete with lights, seating, and easy access to the restrooms.
All of the options we ordered tasted great, and the pricing was very fair overall. I'd highly recommend visiting Wild Elder, it was a fantastic experience.
This place is terrific — amazing products and incredible customer service. We had so much fun sampling the unique selection of wines and ciders, and the cheese board we ordered was clearly made with love and went perfectly with our flight.

Jim Thorpe is an amazing Victorian-era mountain town, built long before cars were invented. Tucked among steep wooded hills and nestled against the Lehigh River, it's inaccessibility is part of the town's charm. Traveling to Jim Thorpe by train is still possible and worth looking into. Parking in Lehighton and biking to Jim Thorpe on the D&L Trail is also a solid plan, weather permitting. Otherwise, give yourself plenty of time to navigate traffic and find parking. We're open 7-days so consider coming on any day but Saturday and you will likely find less traffic and more parking options. If coming on a Saturday, come early. There is metered on-street parking in front of our shop (look for signs - pay at kiosk or by text). Or check out the county lot (and other options available during October), details online here.
